You Are the Director and Producer of Your Own Life – You Have the Power to Make it Good!

Updated: Jan 12, 2022

It is important that each one of us focuses on our own life, and not on what everyone around us is doing, or wants for us. We always have a choice.

We either grow and evolve.

Or we stunt our growth by focusing on what everybody else around us is doing.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s important to look at the whole picture. It is most definitely important to be kind and caring to others. But too many times we put so much emphasis on being kind and caring to others that it comes at a cost of our own authenticity and truth.

And if we focus so much on what everyone else wants and is doing, then we fail to see our own part in the story.

Notice that power you hold within. Think about it. If we push through our barriers of fear, might we be able to alchemise our anxiety into confidence?

We are the Director and Producer of our own story. We have the power to change our story, or even cancel a series if we’re simply not happy with how it’s working out.

Given we have such power why do so many people stay in unhealthy relationships and unhappy jobs? This makes no sense to me, but the truth is I was there myself not so long ago.

Is it because it’s what we know and creates a safety bubble around us? Is it because of expectations of other individuals or groups? I used to stay in unhealthy relationships and unhappy jobs because I thought it was what I was meant to do. I thought I was on this earth to serve others. I failed to realise that to be able to do my greatest work I needed to first serve myself.

To do our most amazing work it is so important that we first fill our own cup. I’m not talking in an egotistical way. We must become our own essence. We must learn to stand in our truth.

If we are in a toxic relationship, then it is possible we will give until we have nothing left to give. If this is the case, then who fills our cup back up? How do we then stand in love and light?

And then comes the worry of causing someone else to feel rejected.

Again, if our cup is drained how do we then stand in love and light?

People pleasing helps no one. It drains your cup, and it inhibits the need for the other person to do their own self-work.

We must be wary of living a matrix like existence.

We must learn self-love and understand how truly important it is to put ourselves first and fill up our own cup. It's time for us to become more consciously aware of what we can do with our light. What will you do with your light?

She previously played the supporting role in the lives of those around her, and very much held back on sharing this gift fully with other's. This is Rachel stepping very much out of her comfort zone, into what she now knows to be her inner calling, and sharing her thoughts with the world.
