The Empty Shell

Updated: Nov 24

Don't take on another persons karma by blindly accepting the pain, shame, guilt, suffering and trauma they have projected onto you and making it YOUR truth.

Choose NOT to become the empty shell as expressed in this poem.

If it was never yours in the first place, then don't make it fit. Know your worth, and also mind your energy.

Sometimes I find it makes more sense to take a step back and zip my lips, instead of mirroring something when another person isn't yet ready to see or hear the truth. Other times I very consciously choose to speak my truth.

It very much depends on the nature of the truth.

Will it fall on deaf ears?

Is it important to my own self-love and healing to speak up?

It is good to give consideration to what reason we feel drawn to speak our truth. That in itself will tell you whether it will be worth it

-- Empty Shell --

The empty shell of the person

standing in front of me I see.

They projected on me their

own pain, hate and trauma.

I took on their karma by not

understanding my true worth.
