28 Days of Gratitude ---- DAY 1

I am thankful for trees that look so interesting, I could quite honestly stare at them for hours. I am grateful for the gifts that are made available to us through the many moments we spend in nature. I appreciate the grounding it offers... and also the call to return to self.

The rainforest is one of those places where I capture that deep love for life. I slow down just as soon as I step into a rainforest. They hold so many secrets that are ready and waiting for us to discover.

I am so grateful for water. I love waterfalls, creeks, the beach, the ocean. The beach is a place I often visit to unwind. Whenever I visit, peace washes over me and I start to feel as one with the water.

Nature holds so much beauty; and offers us so many resources. We need to be mindful of how we treat it.

I love crystals, rocks, herbs, natural fragrances and many other things that originate from nature. We take so much from nature if we think about it... and many things are changed to the point that we can no longer recognise where it originated from.

What I have observed in today’s world is that nature seems to give us so much more than we give back. In fact, as humans, we have this tendency to destroy parts of nature. It’s so important that we look after what we have been gifted.

When we are truly present, we notice the beauty within the moments we spend within nature.

For example, I was intrigued by that singular mini tipi that was built of sticks on the beach…

By the sand islands that had formed due to the tide going out…

And by the little alcove within the tree, when we visited the rainforest...

Does nature hold a special place in your heart, like it does in mine?

I would encourage you if you feel called, to join me on this gratitude journey. Please consider sharing at least one thing per day for the 28 days that you are truly grateful for If you would rather not share with friends, then feel free to join Embracing Our Inner Unicorn, where you can share with people on a similar journey to yourself. You can start now, or wait till you have more time to spare. It's up to you.

Thank you for reading. Wishing you so many blessings today and always.
