It's Still Quiet

A quiet place is found in the comfort of the mind. Beauty of natures whisper amplifies that inner song.

Flames crackle.

The birds sing a song that won’t be unsung.

Beauty in this song.

An appreciation of the warmth that comes from the flames. Not really a cold enough day, yet the flames offer comfort.

Chicken clucks.

Dog barks in response. That car in the distance;

Belonging, or not.

The depth of the wind can be felt and heard. The wind is not intense, unless I focus on it.

Lost in the moment.

Gigantic raindrops are felt; one, then two, then four.

Time to get up.

Heart quickens in the rush to find shelter from the rain. Depth of the mind still focused on a beauty that is and will be.
