I have the deepest respect for those who first stood upon this land. Whilst Australia is all about diversity, there were some beautiful people here first.
To heal that trauma. To hold space for each other. To allow each other to simply be. To not be defensive, but open. To love. And to not hold the other back from speaking their own personal truth, even if that hurts. That’s where the beauty is. That’s where the healing is. It’s within the conversation.
A person doesn’t need to feel disempowered simply because the person they are speaking with stands firmly in their truth.
There doesn’t need to be a winner or a loser.
Everybody can find a wholeness within themselves. That’s how we learn to hold space for and show up in a better way for each other. To heal is to show up through love; and be willing and able to have an open conversation with those around us.
We heal when we acknowledge those emotions we carry deep within. When we are vulnerable with each other AND with ourselves. If we don’t speak openly and if we close off our heart to each other then how can we heal?
Today I feel into an amazing hope for our future. One that’s full of open hearts, love and healing. One that leads to reconciliation. Like a proper reconciliation. One where there is an open discussion AND a very conscious shift in how we all show up.
That is my hope and dream for the future.
The video I offer doesn't just show those whom were here first. It is representative of the diversity of our land.
It is very important that those whom first walked the land are celebrated. But we all have the power to choose how we show up and whether or not we come together.
Love to you all. May we show our leaders that we seek change. Our voice is the strongest when we stand as one.
