28 Days of Gratitude – Day 9
I love that I view things from so many different angles. My mind sways here and there with the possibilities and probabilities of what is and could be.
We can all buy into the fear and the pain of yesterday, today, or tomorrow. We could keep our eyes locked on what happened in the past, on what is happening within the present, or what could happen in the future. We could allow the words of the naysayers to penetrate our being. My point is that we all have the power to focus on the negative.
The truth is that our greatest opportunity will always be in the present.
But it will never be found through fear – even if fear seems like the most logical place to be.
Our greatest opportunity can be found through the connectiveness of the people. It is found by finding our light amongst the darkness; and helping others to do the same. It can be found through self-love and self-care. It can be found through authenticity. And it can be found by learning to embody love, hope, and peace.
What I focus on can either take me far, or it has the potential to hold me back… to keep me stuck.
We can choose to do nothing. We can choose to spend our life sitting in the trenches. We can focus on the problem so much, that we end up becoming the problem.
Or we can go on a search for the solution. There is always another way, but we must first be open to seeing it. We can choose to live and breathe fear. Or we can choose to live and breathe hope, love, and peace.
The truth is that if I did not see things from the many angles, I would quite honestly be sitting in fear. I would be sitting in the trenches right now. And so I appreciate today that I am blessed with the gift of looking at things from many different angles.
