Today I am super grateful for quirkiness, laughter, and fun. Because why not be?

28 Days of Gratitude ---- DAY 2

I woke up in a crazy quirky mood this morning, which lasted much of today. Earlier on I embraced what earthlings know to be the belly laugh, when I stumbled upon a few crazy funny memes… I laughed so much I could barely breathe. I have always loved a good sense of humour and a good laugh.

I'll share a little piece of my quirkiness in this video:

I kind of enjoy when people push at the boundaries… not to hurt another… but to make another laugh or smile. Some people are super skilled at manoeuvring within the world of comedy. They make you laugh. But you can see that there’s absolutely no judgement there. You can appreciate the light-heartedness in their words, much like you would enjoy a fine wine. They’re just bouncing their mind around wherever it might choose to go – and sharing their inner playground with whomever will listen.

I might just celebrate my weirdness every single day. I am grateful for the little piece of weird that I am. I don't need to be weird like you, cause I’m already weird like me.

I used to hide my weird from people, until I was comfortable with them.

I’ve spent a good part of my life worrying about being judged for this, that, or the other – but hey judge me if you wish! That’s not on me, that’s on you. You are more than welcome to waste your energy judging others if you like. I would much prefer to channel that same energy into creating happiness, laughter, and abundance in this world. Today, I am more comfortable than I have ever been with my weirdness – this is a big part of who I am.

For me, embracing this weirdness is equal to self-acceptance, self-love and even abundance. It makes me laugh. It has this tendency to make other people laugh too.

I’m a little annoyed at my subconscious mind for holding me back all these years, but hey… it is what it is. I cannot change yesterday; I can only change all my todays and tomorrows. So today I choose to embrace and unleash my inner unicorn, as this is what will make me happy in all my tomorrows.

My inner unicorn got partially bound up somewhere deep within, the poor thing. It got caught within the metaphorical chains that use to heavily constrict my movement within this world. I’m learning to embrace the laughter and fun within the many moments. Life is much too serious when we’re serious, capische? Even in that moment that we are not 100% free from conformity, we can still embrace the free spirit that we know that we are.

Quirkiness, laughter, and fun are things that another might try to take from us. Is this a sacrifice that we have chosen to make for another? Be mindful that you are not gifting your power and happiness to another on a silver platter. If you just recognised that you have, then consider snatching it right back… it is much too important. We can waste a lifetime staying in the same place, hoping that we might be happy – or we can choose to consciously pursue our own happiness.

Be mindful of those who seek to steal your essence. If they have tried to do it once, then might they try to do it again and again and again.

Don’t mess with my weirdness, or my weirdness might just interject. Can it be tamed? Perhaps, but only if I allow for it to be. I see right through those illusions when another tries to quieten my quirky albeit fiery nature. Try as you might, are you winning? If you are winning, then awesome… it’s important I’m humbled here and there, lol – plus I like a challenge.

The many moments that we call life are far too precious. Enjoy every single one. Enjoy the laughter. Allow yourself to be amused by your own quirks and the quirks of others. If life tells you that you’re not allowed, then don’t be afraid to take a moment to ask life, why not?

I would encourage you if you feel called, to join me on this gratitude journey. Please consider sharing at least one thing per day for the 28 days that you are truly grateful for If you would rather not share with friends, then feel free to join Embracing Our Inner Unicorn, where you can share with people on a similar journey to yourself. You can start now, or wait till you have more time to spare. It's up to you.

Thank you for reading. Wishing you so many blessings today and always.
