Self Empowerment

We received rain here last night and early this morning.

Rain is important in the scheme of things. It’s cleansing to the earth and cleansing for our soul. It’s good to embrace the beauty of the rain, rather than curse at it. We live each moment through our own lens. This will often lead to a certain reaction or response to what is going on around us.

We often get annoyed by the rain. Particularly if we end up standing in it, or if it causes flooding. But the opposite of flooding is drought. We need rain. It is essential to our survival. If we slow enough we notice the little things.

The light green against the dark green leaves, representative of new life. And the water droplets that sit silently upon the leaves and the flowers.

I wouldn’t have seen either this morning, if it wasn’t for the rain.

The good health of our environment is dependent on different elements being just right. If we mess things up, there are visual warnings. If we don’t heed those warnings, then we will eventually have to deal with the consequences.

At times we are forced to sit within discomfort in some way, shape, or form.

What I have realised is that I am quite often sent warnings. I have the freedom to choose whether or not I pay attention to those warnings.

Sometimes when we see great destruction within our life, we feel like the observer. We feel like we have no power at all.

“What can I do about this. Little old me?”

Truth is, I can do a lot. But first I need to feel empowered to do so.

We live in this world where many have been made to feel extremely disempowered. My role, as I see it, is to shift this within myself. In doing so, I inspire others to do the same. I am learning to feel empowered within myself, no matter what is happening around me. I’m learning to separate out what’s mine from what’s yours.

What if…

We see our discomfort as an opportunity?

What if…

We see the beauty within the storms that happen within our life?

What if…

We stood back and sat with our emotions for just a bit; and let ourselves know that it’s OK to feel the way that we do?

What if…

We took only what we needed (the lessons) and left everything else at the door?

I’m sure I could keep going with the what’s ifs. Hopefully that’s enough to paint a beautiful picture in your mind of what could be.

We have the power to shape the way that we choose to feel about things. The rain. We either see it as beautiful and very useful, or we see it as a hindrance.

There are so many people carrying so much eck within their mind these days. Most don’t realise that they have the power each day to create a shift within their mind to something better.

Take notice. What do you feed your body, mind and soul? This is truly important. Because our output tends to be directly related to what we are nurturing within. And what we put out there into the universe affects what we receive in return.

Thank you so much for seeing me and for taking the time to read this. You are beautiful. You are amazing. You are most definitely enough. Keep doing. Keep being. I just want to say I love you.
