Unity Grace Koehne

For those who follow me on social media, you might have noticed that I have changed the name from Awoken Empath to Unity Grace Koehne. I have been sitting with the idea of changing the name for some time now. In no way did I make this decision lightly.

Soon enough there will be a shift in branding on here also.

UNITY in the new name is because it is my hope that people of all different walks might come together.

And it is my hope that those who perhaps feel like misfits, outcasts, or black sheep might start to understand their true calling. We all have our own purpose. It is through going on a journey to truly understand ourselves that we find that purpose.

Those who feel different often see things that others don’t, which gives them the opportunity to shine a light on the pathway ahead – so that others can see the way.

When we choose to walk alongside each other, despite our differences, we create true freedom within our relationships and within ourselves.

GRACE in the new name is because...

I believe that if we seek to truly walk together in unity we will not only be bold in our interactions, but also gracious to each other.

Would you agree that when somebody is being gracious to you, it is of utmost importance that we don't take advantage of such grace?

If we truly seek to walk together as one, we start to recognise that the best and only way is if all parties involved make a conscious choice to set down their sword. We no longer desire to add to the problem. Instead we seek to become the solution.

Once we offer grace to ourselves with respect to our own imperfections, we begin to feel strong enough to extend that hand to others and offer grace to them as well.

Without grace it becomes difficult to put a Band-Aid on the hurt and the pain; and start to heal those deep inner wounds.

And KOEHNE is my late Grandma’s maiden name. I love you Grandma. She has had a significant impact on who I am today. It is said that Koehne (Kuehne) is derived from the word Kuoni, meaning someone who is daring, audacious and brave. A meaning that I most definitely resonate with.

I have been going on a journey to peel back the layers of conditioning AND lean into my own boldness and daring. The past few years I have done A LOT when it comes to shifting very deeply ingrained limiting beliefs and value systems.

I am very proud of myself for how far I come. As I say that, it feels egotistical, yet I don’t care – because it is very important to show appreciation for ourselves.

Perhaps my saying that out loud might encourage you to reflect on just how far you have come. To reflect on and appreciate our own wins is all part of self-love.

Thank you for reading. I may or may not explain why I no longer resonate with the name Awoken Empath. If you are interested in the reasons why, please feel free to let me know. I truly appreciate all who continue to walk this journey with me.

May you be extremely blessed with unity, grace AND boldness as you go about each day. I wish you much love, today and always.
