Do You Need To Upgrade Your Shell?

I’m a little like the hermit crab. I have created a protective shell around me. When I feel cramped inside of my current shell, I abandon that one and replace it with one that better fits. In a sense I leave the abandoned shell behind for somebody else to find and make use of.

We all upgrade in our own beautiful time. Those who are kind reach to give others a hand in different ways, and those who follow closely behind are the most likely to take that hand.

Sometimes people prefer to stay in their squishy little shell. It’s all that they’ve known. And that’s OK. Once we find peace in the knowledge that not everybody is hoping to upgrade their shell in this very moment, we release this need to fix their life for them.

They may find comfort in their squishiness, but that's their journey – we don’t have to make it ours.

If we lower our vibration to meet the other where they are at, then we downsize our shell back to one of squishiness. No need to downsize, stay right where you are – and continue to upgrade. You might just notice as those who are meant to stay in your life start to shell hop, until such time as they catch up.

This is Rachel stepping very much out of her comfort zone, into what she now knows to be her inner calling, and sharing her thoughts with the world.
